Latch is a logic puzzle game operated by Olivas Labs LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). Latch does not require an account, and we do not collect or store any personal information about you on our servers.
Latch does show advertising, and our advertising provider collects some information. This policy explains exactly what that means.
We collect nothing. Latch has no account system, no login, and no servers of our own. We never receive your name, email address, phone number, location, or contacts.
Your game data — puzzle progress, current streak, daily challenge history, and your sound and haptics preferences — is stored only on your device. We cannot see it. If you delete Latch, that data is deleted with it.
Latch displays ads through Google AdMob. To serve ads and measure their performance, Google may collect:
This information is collected by Google, not by us. We never receive it, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone else. Google's practices are described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
The first time you open Latch, iOS will ask whether you allow tracking across apps and websites. If you decline, the Advertising Identifier is not shared and you will see non-personalized ads instead. Declining does not limit any part of the game.
You can change this choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, Latch will also show you a consent form asking how your data may be used for advertising. You can revisit that choice at any time using the Ad Privacy Options link inside the app's settings.
Latch uses Aptabase, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how the game is played so we can improve puzzle difficulty and pacing. We record only:
This information is anonymous and cannot be traced back to you. Aptabase does not use the Advertising Identifier, does not assign you a persistent device identifier, and does not track you across other apps or websites. We cannot tell which events came from the same person, and we do not build any profile of you.
Latch does not use crash reporting, and we do not record anything you type.
Because we do not collect your data, we have nothing to retain or delete. Game data stored on your device is removed when you delete the app. Information collected by Google for advertising is retained according to Google's own policies, linked above.
Latch is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us at the address below.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
